Since Multicolor provides end-to-end building solutions, they needed a system that could take care of multiple operational activities, track and record the progress, and integrate it with all business operations like Purchases, Sales, Accounts, Manufacturing, Projects, etc.

After using SAP ECC for 12 good years, they felt a need to upgrade. SAP was very slow to adapt to the new processes. Plus the poor user experience led to high training and onboarding costs. Customizations had a hidden cost to them. Something had to be done.

During the lockdown's quiet period, they decided to move to ERPNext, because it was open-source and offered simple customizations. After running SAP and ERPNext in parallel for a few months, they finally migrated to ERPNext.
